🤰🏽 Pregnancy & Our Products

Bush medicine made with care — for every stage of womanhood.

At My Outback Bush Soaps Co, we honour our old people’s knowledge and create healing products using natural bush ingredients. While our Emu Bush and Gumby Gumby ranges are gentle and effective, pregnancy is a sacred time — and we want to make sure our products are used safely, with intention.

🧴 Healing Ointments (Emu Bush + Gumby Gumby + Lard)

✅ Safe Topical Use for Pregnant Women:

Soothes stretch marks, belly itching, and dry, tight skin

Eases lower back, hip, and joint pain

Calms eczema, dermatitis, and hormonal skin flare-ups

Helps reduce pigmentation or scarring as the body changes

Can assist with varicose vein discomfort when massaged gently

⚠️ Cautions:

Avoid using on broken blisters or open wounds

Always patch test first — pregnancy hormones can make skin extra sensitive

Do not ingest (external use only)

🧼 Soaps (Emu Bush & Gumby Gumby)

✅ Gentle & Nourishing for Daily Use:

Calms itchy or dry pregnancy skin

Helps manage body acne, backne, and sweat rash

Natural antibacterial action for underarms, breasts, and belly folds

Non-toxic and handmade — no harsh commercial chemicals

⚠️ Cautions:

As with any soap, avoid contact with eyes or intimate areas

Patch test if skin becomes unusually sensitive

🫖 Bush Teas (Emu Bush & Gumby Gumby)

⚠️ Pregnancy Caution (VERY IMPORTANT):

We do NOT recommend consuming bush teas during pregnancy unless under the guidance of an Aboriginal medicine woman, Elder, or qualified herbal practitioner

Emu Bush and Gumby Gumby are powerful internally and may impact hormones, womb activity, or interact with pregnancy conditions

Best saved for postnatal use, where they support healing, cleansing, milk production, and emotional recovery

✅ Postnatal Use (After Birth):

Teas may assist with womb healing, detox, immune support, and energy restoration

Ointments can help with C-section scarring, cracked nipples (non-baby contact), and joint pain

Soaps support gentle cleansing during healing without drying the skin

🖤 Final Word

Our bush medicine is made with respect and strength — but pregnancy is a sensitive time. Always listen to your body, speak with your midwife or healthcare provider, and reach out if you're unsure. We’re here to support you the cultural way, every step of the journey.
